Day 1: Journey to Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling through the scenic agricultural areas towards northern Kenya. Drive through the charming towns of Nanyuki and Isiolo, concluding the day with a thrilling afternoon game viewing drive in Buffalo Springs National Reserve.

Day 1

Day 1: Journey to Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling through the scenic agricultural areas towards northern Kenya. Drive through the charming towns of Nanyuki and Isiolo, concluding the day with a thrilling afternoon game viewing drive in Buffalo Springs National Reserve.

Enjoy a delicious dinner and comfortable overnight stay at the Surana Buffalo Springs.

Day 2

Day 2: Explore Buffalo Springs

Spend the day exploring the Buffalo Springs National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. In between, relax and make the most of the lodge's amenities.

Day 3

Day 3: Discovering Nyahururu and Lake Nakuru

After a hearty breakfast, set out towards Nakuru, pausing to admire the spectacular Thompson Falls in Nyahururu. Savor lunch with a waterfall view before proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park, a haven for rhinos and various bird species.

Note

End the day with dinner and overnight at The Cliff.

Day 4: Experience the Maasai Mara

Head towards the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve after breakfast. Arrive at camp in time for lunch followed by an exciting afternoon game viewing drive.

Relax and reside overnight at Sarova Mara Camp - Club Tents.

Day 5

Day 5: Maasai Mara Adventure

Enjoy full-day or multiple shorter game drives in the Maasai Mara. Spot the rich wildlife and immerse in the wild landscapes, with optional picnic lunches during a longer excursion.

Day 6

Day 6: Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Reflect on your thrilling adventure in Kenya's breathtaking wilderness as you head back to the comfort of the city.

Note

Drop-off at your chosen city hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport marks the end of the journey.

What's included

Accommodation on Full Board Basis during the safari (unless otherwise stated).

Transportation: Includes a 4X4 Safari Land Cruiser (5-7 seaters) for safari, an English-speaking driver/guide, and city transfers in deluxe vehicles such as Alphard or Deluxe 4x4.

Assistance from Client Relations Officers & Representatives for meet-and-greet services, safari briefings, and debriefings in Nairobi.

VIP Assistance Option (fast-track service through Immigration and Customs) is available at an additional cost of $30 per person.

Registration with AMREF Flying Doctors for emergency medical evacuation services.

Game drives and park entrance fees are covered.

Mineral water during the safari is available in a refrigerated water tank in the vehicles. Clients should bring refillable water bottles. Reusable 1/2-litre bottles can be purchased for $10/€10 per bottle, with proceeds donated to a conservation cause.

Safari hats and luggage tags are crafted by a self-help group.

What's excluded

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required and costs $30 per person (apply here).

International and domestic flights are not included unless specified.

Vaccinations and personal insurance must be arranged separately.

Optional activities and excursions not listed in the itinerary are excluded.

Drinks that are not included in the itinerary must be purchased separately.

Gratuities for guides, drivers, and staff are not included.

Laundry and other personal expenses are not covered.

Holiday season supplements (Easter, Christmas, and New Year) are charged separately. Details are available on a different page of this document.

Luggage restrictions apply, with a maximum of 15 kg (one piece per person) in soft duffel bags due to vehicle space limitations. Weight restrictions apply to local safari flights.

Excess luggage storage and transfer can be arranged if luggage cannot be kept at the base hotel in Nairobi. It can be stored at the company’s office. A $50 fee will apply for transferring the luggage back to the client at the end of the safari.
